  1. What is a DVR?

DVR is an acronym that stands for “Digital Video Recorder.”   DVRs are like a VCR, only much more sophisticated.  With a DVR you never have to miss your favorite shows, yet you don’t have to remember to set your VCR or worry about VHS tapes in order to do so.  DVRs digitally record, store, and play all your favorite programs.  Additionally, DVRs have VCR-like functions such as rewind, fast forward and pause.  For example, if you are interrupted in the middle of your favorite program, you can easily pause the broadcast and then resume watching when it's more convenient for you.  An instant replay feature lets you quickly review what you just saw.  As you can see, DVRs offer a newer and better way to enjoy all your favorite television shows, at your convenience.
